Long bio (150 words)

Maneesh Juneja is a futurist and strategic advisor who has spent 30 years counting what nobody counts. He began on Sir Michael Marmot's Whitehall II study at UCL, then on loyalty-card data for UK supermarket Tesco at dunnhumby, before almost a decade at GSK, where his contributions in generating real-world evidence from health records of up to 120 million patients fed into drug safety.

In 2012 he left that career to travel the world, finding the people building the future. From 2013 he keynoted in over twenty countries on health, data and AI, for audiences and organisations including Cedars-Sinai, Mayo Clinic, Pfizer and Unimed. He has appeared on Netflix's The Future Of and given four TEDx talks.

Today he speaks on the resilience economy: how leaders prepare for a hotter, more volatile world where climate, geopolitical, cyber and supply-chain shocks land at once. He writes the weekly newsletter Uncounted.

Introduction for your MC

Please feel free to read this as it is (about 30 seconds).

Our next speaker tells stories about the future: about the things nobody counts until they break. Maneesh Juneja spent almost a decade as an analyst at GSK, where his work fed into drug safety, and more than a decade on the future of health and AI, speaking in over twenty countries. Today he helps boards and investors find what fails first in a hotter, more volatile world. Please welcome Maneesh Juneja.

AV and tech

  • Microphone: a lapel (lavalier) or headset mic is best. I like to move. A handheld is fine as a backup.
  • Slides: 16:9 PowerPoint, built on a Windows laptop. I can bring my laptop and adapters (HDMI), or send the slides in advance to run from your computer. I'm happy to use your event's PowerPoint template too.
  • Slide handout, on request: if you'd like, I can provide a PDF of my slides with live links to every study and article I cite. Your audience can focus on listening in the room and follow up on the sources afterwards.
  • Clicker: a wireless slide clicker, please, or I'll bring my own.
  • Confidence monitor (a screen facing me showing the current and next slide): helpful but not essential.
  • No slides? No problem. I can speak without slides, or with a whiteboard or flipchart for the Uncounted Method.
  • Virtual events: I present from a professional set-up with a Sony ZV-1 camera, a Blue Yeti microphone and wired ethernet. A tech check a few days before is welcome.
  • Recording: happy to discuss. Please ask before the event.
  • Dietary: no beef, please.

Travel

I'm based in London and speak worldwide. For UK and Western European events, I often prefer to drive door to door in my electric car rather than fly. It's more sustainable and more comfortable. Parking and EV charging details for the venue are always helpful. When I fly, London Heathrow is my usual airport. Travel is arranged around your event, and I'm happy to arrive the day before for long-haul events or a rehearsal.
